A gentleman named Ernest Greene is making innovative, unique, minimalist music. Hailing from Perry, Georgia, Washed Out has quickly stepped out on the scene, playing his first show to a sold out crowd of around 500. Little is said about this man and it seems as though he likes it that way. He started making music, solely as a hobby, with no intentions of making it big. But by luck or destiny or whatever you call it, the right people heard the right songs and helped Washed Out take off. Some people are calling his music a new genre that has been tagged as "Glo-fi," or "chill-wave." As far as a new genre, I am not sure, and neither is Ernest. But kick back and relax to these downtempo hits. I'm calling it a soberer electro.
