The lights are gorgeous. The Boulder, Colorado based group, Pretty Lights, is the fabulous work of Derek Smith and Cory Eberhard. The two combine live drumming and digital sampling of everything from jazz to gangsta rap, making "glitchy hip-hop beats, buzzing synth lines, and vintage funk and soul samples." Pretty Lights newest release, "Making Up A Changing Mind," is the first of a trilogy of EPs to be released in 2010, so look out for them all. The six tracks on this album dump, slump, and bump.
